So guys i wanted your opinion..

I have a 06Lx470 really nice , picked up about little over 2 years ago, it has 79k now- runs strong apart from a battery and brakes replacement its like a tank..i also absolutely love the older LX design and the interiors...the new ones just (i feel aren't as nice looking /kinda look like big highlanders) but they are a step up technology wise/engine etc...

I will most likely pick up a certified one under 60k..in that range i only see 08-10 models with 19k to 60k miles..

Does anyone here had a later model Lx470 and upgraded to 570? anything i should look out for? problem areas etc? - once again i appreciate everyone's input..

Oh, it will primarily be wife's car, she LOVES this one and my kids too but she is tired of the dated navigation and likes the 360 cameras on 570s, they are mostly sleeping in the LX in long drives and i drive a lot, pretty much every weekend we are out putting average of 300 miles a week.

I have seen some car fax reports and in one case the rear brakes pads
are changed every 6k miles???

it's a great car, but if you want 360 camera, i think it's not available until later in the years, maybe 2010 or even 2013? i am pretty sure the few 08 and 09 i have worked on don't have that

i think it's a great car and i like it a lot. i know a few customers with them and they love it

Yes i was mistaken, but the older do have the park assist, front and one side camera- pretty cool stuff..

I test drove a certified one 2008 @ 50k miles they were asking $53k..not coming down-But kinda paying @@@ for my trade 2006 LX470 saying they go by auction prices..anyways i kindly refused- for some reason i have better luck at non-Lexus dealers buying Lexus cars, because they give usually decent trade in..
back to some observations...

some things that i liked about lx570 over 470--Car runs quieter, faster pickup , nice navigation/cameras/front/side/cooling seat fans/interior seemed little more spacey* maybe its in my head.

-What i didnt like- car seemed /felt lighter( even the doors felt really light something you would except from a Toyota(no dis-respect intended ) even my wife noticed that and made a comment that wow the doors are lighter and not at all solid feel compared to 470. when you knock a little to the metal any where outside the car the car felt hollow at places, unlike the older LX470.
-Ride more bumpier/ i am guessing its because of the larger wheels, i think the 06 have 18" this one had 19" or 20...

I am going to look at some more ones around me will keep you guys updated

The LX570 IS more "spacey" and I enjoy mine.

BUT, the 470 had a refinement and silky smooth performance that is not like the 570.

To me the 570 is like a "brute" in comparison to the LX470

get a used lx570. some can be had under $60K with decent mileage!
the way gas prices are going, the prices on the LX will be dropping like rocks when driven of the lot.

CPO, with 49k Miles, 53+ taxes and tags etc..(factory DVD/nav etc)- dont think it has a cooler..

Very nice - 08 or 09? Can't tell glass kind of looks tinted. You will enjoy. I do agree with you on the LX 470 doors.
Thing felt like a bank vault.

Was in at my dealer this week - they had (2) 2013's (Black on Black) sitting on the lot - never have seen that before. Most had always been pre-sold in the past. They even had a couple of used ones on the lot.

Congrats. 570 has its good and bad points but it's a much easier car to live with than a 470.
