Ok, so i found out today that they make 2 different types of batterys for the same car... reversed terminals. Yes, that means i indeed purchased the wrong battery for my LX and it gave a bit of a spark when i went to install it..

bought the car on saturday, 08 low miles, had it in for service yesterday, they said the battery failed a load test, but still started and ran fine like it has since we got it. well this morning, no start. needed jumped then it was fine. lunch time, no start again, went and got the wrong battery and jacked something up. A few fuses were blown under the hood, some 5 ams and 10's,,, and one of the 30amp ABS fuses was blown, nothing on the instide was blown.

with the right battery installed and fuses in order, still no start. remote wont unlock the doors, dash comes on with interior lights, no dvd or nav, stereo, rear hatch power. car just beeps at you when u try to open it with the remote in hand. when u try and start it, the led on the start button stays orange, even putting the remote right up to the button does nothing. when u puch the button, it says checking on the dash and then powers off.


called lexus and they said to use the manual key in the door to reset the car, locking and unlocking it 3 times or something, still nothing.

has anyone done this before? i keep seeing people talk about a fusible link to the starter, or blown diode to the alternator.

any help would be appricated. car is stuck in a parking garage 30 minutes from home., called for a tow but they said theres no way to get a flatbed in to get it, would need to roll it out...
