Pics of new ride
Quick shout out to everyone on this forum. My first post
I just picked up my cpo'd 2008 lx570 a few weeks ago.
I have been looking to change the wife's ride for a while now and honestly
never thought of an lx as an option as it is sooooo expensive new.
I was surfing the net and found this one. It had 5300 miles and it was "like new" inside and out, car fax report was clean (although highly questionable) so I just pulled the trigger. I got the price down to just under $70k and I'm not sure if I got a good deal or not but no looking back now.
I really don't even know what options I have on this car but it seems like it has has everything I need and more. I just made sure it has the dvd system for the kids in the back. It rides great, its very quiet, gas mileage isn't as bad as I thought and of course it is just a beautiful car. My wife loves her new ride. I've been out of the dog house ever since I brought this baby home.
I do have a few questions for everyone.
1. It seems the tint on the rear windows are very light, is this normal?
I have seen other lx's on the road and theirs seems to be darker. Please don't tell me privacy glass on a $70K car is an option.
2. On my navi, I am always about 25ft behind where I actually am.
I adjusted my location on the set up screen but it goes back after the engine is stopped. Is there a permanent way to make this change?
3. My steering wheel is off center to the right at the 1:03 position.
Does anyone else have this condition on their ride? Will the adjustments be covered under cpo warrranty or will the stealership make me pay for the labor?
Anyway, I thought I would wash the cars after all of the rain we've been having and take some pics. Hope you like.

Araco,
Regarding to your steering wheel is off center, it is an easy fix and it should cover under the Lexus basic warranty, you may ask the dealer to check your front wheels alignment. It may be off and wheel alignment is only cover by Lexus for the first year or 12,000 miles, ask the sale manager he or she may give it to you for free if you bought your LX @ the same dealer, if not then expect to pay around $100 dollar for the front wheels alignment. Congrat and enjoy your new ride.

Thanks for your info guys. Wasn't privacy glass out by then? That just isn't right.
Anyone have a suggestion to reposition the car for the navi. (Other than going into the setup screen) Is there a reset button to get the gps realigned or something? Also, is there another mark for the car in the navi other than the big circle with the triangle inside? Sorry for all of the questions but any replies or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for the information. Although I still can't understand why, I guess it is what it is.
So now the next question. What % tint would you guys suggest?
I plan to just tint the rear portion of the car just like oem and I would like it to look like oem tint as well. I am thinking 35% right now. Should I go 20%?

I would go with 15% from the rear passenger doors on back (or all around if you are allowed in your area).
Yes, it is odd that Toyota/Lexus did away with window tint on their 08-09 Land Cruiser/LX570 models. A vehicle in this class should never be without tinted windows.
Nice buy. The truck looks great.
