Captain's chairs in 2nd row possible aftermarket?
Hi all -
We are coming off a Cadillac ESV lease and looking for another truck.
We must have captain's chairs in the 2nd row.
I know Lexus doesn't offer this but was wondering if there were any safe, aftermarket seats available to create a 2nd row of captain's chairs?

Question for Forum - Australian second row seat
Hi:
I have searched long and hard for a possible solution. I almost bought a GMC Yukon Denali because it has second row captain's chairs (!) because I have three growing boys who need to be separated in the LX 570.
I looked at the pivot points (where the second row benches fold) and anchor latches (which are exposed when the bench is folded). I noticed that the positions of the 60- and 40- anchor latches closest to the doors (outboard ones) are equidistant. So my next thought was what if I ordered a second row 40-section from a country where the steering wheel is on the right hand side? That way it is a mirror image of the left hand steering wheel model.
The only complication is that the pivot point locations for the 60-section and 40-section appear to be at different distances from their respective doors. Therefore it isn't a perfect match.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Should I call Lexus - national or local dealer for ideas? If I were to find a suitable solution, would it void the factory warranty?
Thanks,
Mike

Modifications like that are known to be done in Russia but I'm not sure if anything like that exists in the US. But if you're interested how LX570 with captain chairs might look like check this thread for some pictures: http://club-lexus.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?t=63387
