The two choices for answers to your question are not really fair. It leaves little choice for those who are not unhappy with the cooling.
Lexus will likely do something about this in the future but not for the existing owners. No where in the literature does it indicate you will have forced cold air in the seat.

When I read the manual and learned there were three seat climate settings, heat, vent and cool, my opinion was "heat" would be hotter than ambient conditions (which it is and it is adjustable over a range of higher temperatures), "vent" would circulate ambient temperature air (although not sure how you might notice this), and "cool" would circulate or at least give the sensation of cooler than ambient temperature seats.
I notice a very subtle if any difference when I select vent or cool, even with it set to the maximum "cool" position. Hence my expectations were dissappointed, and I do not use the vent or cool settings - nothing seems to change when I do.

AC seats poll
Well actually I'm quite pleased so far. I just purchsed a 2009 LX and had read about the problem on this forum before, so while I was test driving the vehicle I turned it to it's coldest setting and could actually feel the cool air through both my jeans and on my back. I had a "medium" winter jacket on too. Granted this was in late November here in Rockville MD, and I don't know if the air used is brought from the outside or not. Outside temp was about 30deg at the time.

So far we're happy with "cooling" of the seats. There is not a lot of air blowing out of the seats but they do cool and the feature works well together with all the rest of the vents in the car. I like that the seats cool with very little extra noise and vibration.
