Default LX570 Hybrid

If and when do you think Lexus will release a hybrid version of it's latest LX series SUV? I've not upgraded my LX470 (5 years old now) because it's had ZERO problems since I've owned the vehicle, and I'm not sold 100% on the 570.

Almost made the jump to a white on white RR Supercharged and very glad that I hesitated....A friend ended up purchasing the car and it's been in the service center 6 times in 4 months. It only makes sense for Lexus to pursue another hybrid route with a truck this size and with a nice TQ scale to boot!

Also - Any members that have purchased the LX570...Which other vehicles did you consider? Test drive? Sit in etc?

Thanks!

LL

Hopefully Lexus will take a page from the lesson of the LS600h, especially in this economy that eco-cool isn't practical (eco-friendly still is though) and you can't expect to save the whales at 15 MPG instead of 13 MPG.

I have a friend that got the RR Supercharged and same thing, it spent more time in the shop than on the road. Then he saw how fast it depreciated...

When I got the 570 I hadn't sat in any other cars but moved from a 470. The difference from 470 to 570 was dramatic. Ride, power, etc. I didn't think it would be that different.
I did sit in a Landcruiser last night at the SF AutoShow and it was nice although I feel a BIG difference in interior finish between the two.

While I guess you could put extra batteries and some electric dive motors in any vehicle, it would kinda be absurd to add another 1500lbs to the already 3 tons it weighs now.

But adding about 200 more horses in electrical drive would be interesting!

what a tank that would be !

with a TRD supercharger you get 504hp and 550 lb/torque with a minimal weight gain. overall your loss would be 1lb/hp compared to the 570/battery/200hp gain

I would bet that gain would be closer to 125hp since the LS600h is 438 with a 5 liter motor.

Default Trd

Has anyone dealer installed the TRD supercharger on their 570 yet? I'd be really interested to hear some feedback regarding power increase/feeling of TQ and HP numbers...VS Stock.

Also - Is there any 'Good' lowering modules for Lexus 570? On my Benz's we had options as Renntech, Carlsson, Brabus, etc etc....
