Default Picked up a LX570 3 days ago.

Hi all,

Just wanted to take a moment to say thanks for the great info
posted here.

I fell in love with the LX470 from the NY Auto Show
in 2007. By the time I talked to a dealer, I found the waiting list
was 8-12 months out from February. I lucked out a few days
ago and visited a dealership I hadn't been to before, turns out
they had just received one but the person who ordered it backed
out. They called him and gave him last right of refusal and then
sold it to me. I have to say the vehicle lives up to everything I've
read about for the last year. I've only driven 70 miles in it so far
but I'm very pleased. Gotta be a record. My wait was technically
1 day!

Of course a couple of options weren't available (cold box,
remote start, and radar cruise control / pre-collision system).
Everything else is there. Made it through all the small manuals
and will start the big one tomorrow.

Like many proud owners, I took some pics right away.

It even fits in my rather full garage.

Cheers, Mario

Congrats on the new car!!! I've seen no silver, it looks great!!!!
We didnt have the option for those 3 options either and I was kind of "bent" about no cool box but now am very happy for the extra storage beneath the tray in the center console.
I'm in the EastBay, saw your "Mag" license plate.

I am gonna drool...but how is the mark levinson sound to you?? I never realize just how much of the rear door is dominated by the speakers!! Three-way system throughout the cabin must be real nice! To be honest, the Mark Levinson system would be all the convincing i need to pick this over the Land Cruiser.

To be honest this is the best stock audio system I have heard, especially when used with the iPod connector.
Loud, clear and powerful!!!
If I have someone in the car they ask and I'll crank it. They think I have done something (added sub, speakers, etc) but nope....all stock.

It's silver with the gray interior. Until I saw this one in person, I
didn't think I would like the gray interior but it's fantastic.

Thanks! I was more upset about the lack of the remote start. I've
had this on my Pathfinder for 12 years and I have to say it's great
on a hot or cold day to let it air out before you get in. I'll have to live
with letting the windows down as I walk up to the 570.

There is an area close to us I bring out the dirt bikes that has an off road area I once saw an Infinity destroy itself on the off road 4x4 area. (I think it's on youtube)

BRING THE G500!!!!

I dont know if the remote start is available now but I see from some posts that cars in other parts of the country have it. (I bought mine in Pleasanton)

mse- your truck looks great. Thanks for all the pictures. I'll look forward to your driving impressions the more seat time you get. From driving the LX470 I suspect the LX570 is right up there with the G-wagen and Range Rover as regards luxury rock crawlers and having sat in one last Friday I can say the fit and finish is just superb. Congrats.

I'm right there with you. I drove the Corvette today for the first time in a long long while.
It gets about 8 MPG on the freeway !! My gas mixture is about $20-$25 a gallon.
AWESOME!!!
