I read about this Smart Card you slip into your wallet and it allows you to open doors and start the engine without the provided remote fob?

Anyone got one?

I think is in the manual. I remember getting one for a GS and it isnt as thin as you'd expect. As a matter of fact it was pretty thick and not wel suited to a wallet unless youre George Costanza (that was a great one).
Thick card=putting it somewhere "safe", I havent seen it since and have no clue where it could be.

I have gone thru my "suitcase" that the dealer gives you and no go. I think it is part of a premium package that has not arrived yet as my dealer know little to nothing about this magic Smart Card either.

I will ask my dealer again. If I got one they have hidden it well.

Tell us about your smartcard and if possible post an image. How thick is it?

Default Anyone got a smart key to work on a US LX570?

They ordered the LS600 smart key for my LX570 - it didn't work. They then ordered the smart key for an IS which they *think* will work in my LX570, I should know in the next two days. ~$300 but if it works it'll be very handy. Has anyone in the US gotten one of these to work?

Regards,
Jason

Default Part number of that smart key please

I meant to add ... whoever has one working, can you post what the part number is (must be somewhere on the key)?

Thanks,
Jason

I emailed my Jacksonville Service department and they told me that mine was now on order and they expected it in a few days. I asked them about the programming and they said not a problem.

I received one with my LX570. I wouldn't call it a card, though, as it is about 4-5 mm thick. I don't use it because it's too thick to put in my wallet and because it's missing the remote control functionality.

According to a post in Car Chat, the LX570 will get updated and have a luxury package with upgraded leather, etc and the smart card.

There is no doubt that Lexus will build on the 570 and add and refine features in the year to come. I will hold onto mine till the 2010 model. In the meantime we are looking at the RX hybrid but for what the hybrid feature costs, I can not see recovering the money in gas savings.

Guys,

I'm sorry for not getting into this thread until now. The Smart Card you are referring to is the same part number as offered for the LS460/600h. This Smart Card, we use to work with various 2006 and 2007 IS and GS models as we discovered the frequency on the transmitter was the same. This Smart Card only works on LX 570 models with production dates 2007-11 to 2008-04. If you have any LX with a production date May or later, we will need some time to test this to ensure compatibility.
