That's it, I'm really returning my 570 now.

Gonna buy a TATA and install a baja bar with HID's on the roof. Gonna use it to tow my Prius around the country.
I'll get the Landcruiser when the HID's, Pez dispenser and beef jerky bin are standard equipment.

Anyone with a 570 looking to get an HID kit? If you would be willing to put together a product review on the board I would be up for a discounted price.

Let me know.

All,

I'm in the final stages of getting the HID kits from Xenondepot.com installed. Steve, I can be the "test case" and put up pictures and a writeup once all is installed. I'll keep you all posted. One thing for sure is that the install for the headlights will be a little more involved as there is a cover to access the headlight bulb but nothing a little ingenuity can't resolve.

Complete success! Thanks to Steve @ Xenondepot.com. I put a 6000k kit I had laying around in the fog lights and I put a new 6500k kit from www.xenondepot.com in the headlights. Everything went well after I spoke with Steve who gave me a few tips about the connectors. I was having trouble finding a good ground but eventually resolved that issue.

The 6500k kit is visibly whiter. I haven't had a chance to take pics at night yet. I'll post some later and give you some info on the performance.

The install was plug and play for the most part. The LXs headlights have a cover on the engine compartment side that, I think keeps dust etc. out of the housing. I had to drill a hole in the middle of the cover and this kit comes with a grommet that fit perfect. I had to drill another hole in the cover for the connection to the oem headlight plug. I used some loom (I think its called) to cover the wires from the passenger side to the battery. All in all a 3hr job (both kits) with a difficulty level of 3 on a scale of 1-10, 10 being hardest, in my opinion.

so far so good and the auto leveling feature still works. Here is a pic of the cover that I had to modify.

There are a couple other pics in that gallery. I'll post pics of the lights in action later tonight.
