Hi there. I'd like to tint the front two windows on my '97 LX450, but all the shops I've talked to here in Portland OR tell me that it's impossible to match the factory reflective-bronze tint that the other windows have very well. I believe the LX450 window tints are the same as with the LX470. Any suggestions? No one at lexusownersclub.com had any. Thanks!

Depending on the color of your vehicle, if it is white, silver or a lighter color then 35% bronze should
match perfectly, make sure the tint is not dyed but rather metallic particles. It will not fade over time
and wont turn purple. Talk to your local Lexus dealer they may have dealt with this before.

Hey bonknhead, I had my LX470's front windows tinted recently with Llumar platinum, see pic below. Before I had it done I did a search in this forum and there is a thread where someone said Madico cool chrome is the best match for LX470 windows. The same thread said that Llumar platinum is apparnetly the best match for the RX300 which is different glass than the LX470. The shop I like to use didn't have Madico so I had them use Llumar anyway and it turned out pretty good IMO, close enough for me

Thanks LX470Mann and GatorGreg. I have an appointment tomorrow morning at a shop that tells me that they can match the other windows pretty good by putting on a 20% metallic tint plus a bronze tint. Hope it turns out as well as yours did.

When I got my 470 done I got 5% limo black my Lumar (I think?). All my windows were done with this
and its a perfect match. Hard to drive at night though. Post pics when yours are done.
