Default Wet Carpeting in Drivers Cockpit

This is my third LX470 and same problem. All cars have developed a wet/saturated carpet around the driver's feet, under the floor mat. I have had the A/C off for the past month and was surprised to find the carpet is wet under there. I'm sure others have had this same issue, so what is the common problem here?

check the sunroof drains, they may be blocked and preventing rain and or melting snow from draining from the sunroof area.

Open the sunroof, pop your head up thru the roof and look on the front corners. there should be two holes, one on either side near the front corners . take a cup of water and poor it into this small area and see if the drains are working. if the water pools, they are clogged. If they are clogged try either a coat hanger or air pressure or drain cleaner. I used a wood stick that was next to the truck and dislodged the debris. if you remove the inside carpeted cover from the front column (thing that attaches from the hood to the roof) you can see the plastic tube that drains the water from the sunroof area.

we had this issue and I could not figure out why the carpet was getting so damn wet.

good luck.

I had the same issue with mine and it turned out to be the top driver's side corner of the windshield was leaking. Water would run down behind the trim on the A-pillar and then soak the carpet under the floor mat. Good luck. I fixed mine with a bit of RTV. No more leaks.
