A/C Question
Could anyone please answer this question:
I own a 2004 LX470. I always have my a/c set at 73 degrees; it is always in the MANUAL recirculate mode; and the fan speed is always set at 3. If, for example, the outside temperature is 100 degrees (I live in the desert) should the fan continue to blow at speed 3 unless I manually change the speed?
The fan speed on my a/c will automatically switch from 3 to a much slower velocity after some time at level 3. But the level 3 light will still be illuminated, even though it is obvious that it is not blowing at that speed. Is this normal? I thought that if I don't have the a/c in the AUTO mode the fan speed should remain set (in my case at level 3) regardless of how long it has been blowing.
Could someone with knowledge on this subject please provide an answer.
Thanks.

Thanks, kwatt1.
I know that. But my issue is that I don't have it in AUTO mode. I have it in MANUAL mode with the fan speed at level 3. But, on its own, after a period of time, while still in MANUAL mode, the fan speed will suddenly drop to a much lower level (than level 3 that I set it at), but the level 3 light will still be illuminated even though it is no longer blowing at that speed. After the passage of some time, the fan speed will go back to level 3.
Is this normal. If not, any suggestions?
Thanks, again!
