2006 LX470 left junction block
Hello friends
I need some help.
My wife's LX recently had several service lights come on, door locks won't work, then lock & unlock randomly, seat memory inop, side mirrors don't lower when vehicle put in reverse, etc. All of this happened at once, simultaneously.
Stealer diagnosed the left junction block for a mere $350... then asked me for $1180 more for replacement part & install. I paid them the $350 and brought it home.
I have several questions:
1. Why is there no information on changing the junction block on the net, YouTube, etc.? Surely someone has had this problem before me...
2. Does anyone know the part #? I can find it for the earlier models 99-05?? but not 06-07
3. Does anyone know a source to get this part at a reasonable price?
4. Has anyone ever taken theirs out, blown out the contacts with air, and put it back... successfully? Or is that too good to be true?
5. Is there any danger of setting off the airbags while replacing this part? I THINK it's a separate circuit, but I'd like some reassurance from y'all.
6. How in the world can this happen? This car is literally the mommy wagon, looks like new, says in climate-controlled garage, is never/rarely on salt roads (live in SC). We have multiple other 4wds that we use on the farm, snow skiing, towing boat, etc. It has never been in any mud/crud, towed with, off-roaded, or otherwise 'strained'.
Thanks

2007 LX470, new to me
Hi folks! I'm Doug. I'm picking up my 07 LX470 at the end of Dec in New Orleans. It's white/tan and waiting at the dealer, Lexus of N.O. The wife and I are going to call it our 2nd anniversary trip too, New Year's Eve on Bourbon St!
I've owned a 97 LX450 and a 97 Land Cruiser. This LX will be my 29th vehicle. I'm active in Corvette forums, saxophone forums and a 'few' gun forums too.
I live in Greenville, SC.

Hi, i just joined and recently bought my dream SUV. 1996 LX450 without diff lockers.
I'm here to learn more about what to and not to do to it. Bought it two days ago. Trying to restore it slowly. I've always loved these since the day I got into off reading.

New LX470 owner!!!
Hello....my name is Jason....I have a problem...I am in love with Landcruisers, Lx470's and GX470's!!
I was a past owner of a 2000 Landcruiser, sold it, bad decision, but bought a used 2004 Tundra with the same engine, then bought a 2006 GX last summer for the wife!
Today I bought a Cypress Pearl 2007 Lexus LX470! A Central Oregon one owner, all service records, original sticker, in perfect condition! So the Tundra went up for sale today!!!
This LX is my rig, so it is going hunting , camping, off-roading you name it, it is going to do it!!
I am stoked!

Sorry, I need to revise my last post, my wife drove the new LX470 back from Bend, OR, I drove the GX470, after which I was told I get the GX470! WTH! Did I just get the shaft or what! Lol! So now the GX is mine. I guess things could be worse, I could own a jeep.

2006 lx470
I recently acquired my second 2006 LX470 with only 44,000 miles on it in Crystal White (couldn't find Pearl). I had my first 2006 for 5 years and loved it. These are great vehicles.
I do have a vexing issue that I am unable to find anyone who can tell me definitively the issue. This also happened with my first 2006, but not to the same degree. The issue is this, when my radio is tuned to Sirius/XM, it will spontaneously revert to AM and pressing the AM/SAT button will not bring it back or any other work arounds. After the car is shut off for a time it will come back on, only to do the same thing...predictably. It seems no one can diagnose the issue so I am left to my own devices which has included so far pulling the head unit, sending it away for testing, only to be told it was functioning properly. Which leaves the Satellite receiver? Has anyone had a similar experience and what was the outcome?

Sorry can't help you with your issue. It is interesting though, my 2007 has a am/sat button that tunes to am only. Dealer told me sat was not available when I asked want piece I would need to buy to add sat. I assume if it has sat there would some form of a shark fin antenna on the roof? The navigation receives GPS without a shark fin. Does any know what's involved to making the satellite radio function work?

1996 LX450 Rock Crawler
Hi,
I currently own a 1996 LX450. 4" Lift and 37" BFG Mud terrains. I'll post a picture later. I came to this site to find out how to disable my auto lock feature when the key is turned to the on position.
Thanks,
Jeff
