Default Just Wanted to Introduce Myself

Hello,
Earlier today I purchased a 2000 LX470. It has the Golden Pearl finish and has just over 70,000 miles. It is replacing a 2004 Infiniti M45 that met its demise on the Draw Bridge crossing over the Intracoastal Waterway where I live in Florida (Siesta Key)

When I purchased my Infiniti 7 years ago, I was kicking myself for not getting an LC/LX as I have always wanted one. However, I wanted to own one V8 Rear Wheel Drive Sports Sedan before it was too late due to Fuel Economy Standards getting more and more stringent.

I will post pictures when I get back from picking it up in Atlanta, GA. I truly could not be more excited and have spent many hours here already greatly enjoying the wealth of information. I just did not feel it right to register before I owned one.

I am a Senior Moderator at a Home Theater Website and am guessing I will be spending less time at home watching movies now that I got an LX.
Cheers,
JJ

Awesome - it is so cool having a vehicle that is so timeless and bullet proof it is really worth it to mod it and get to know it.

I'm coming from infiniti too - I would have gone for the m45 but I like manual transmissions and the g was faster than the m35.

Hello,
After a 750 mile road trip back to SW Florida, I must say I am mighty impressed. I have a brother who worked as a Body Shop Manager at a Mercedes Benz dealer for well over a decade who was actually going to buy this LX so the negotiations, inspection, and legwork were done. I truly feel blessed to have this LX and for it to have as few miles as it does is absurd.

The only issue is the "Error 3" message on the CD Changer that prompted me to go from truck stop to truck stop trying to find a tape adapter to work with my iDork 5. I must say the Nakamichi stereo is a major upgrade from my Infiniti's Blose system.

Wakelaylex, I am witcha about the manual transmission. I just wanted to own a modern V8 RWD Sedan before government regulations and so forth made it impossible. I really thought it was going to be a tough adjustment, but with the peak torque arriving at 1100 RPM, it really has no issues merging into traffic.
Thanx for the welcome.
J

Hello,
Thank you all for the warm welcome. I feel so grateful to have found an LX from 2000 that has 70,000 miles and is in fantastic condition. It is simply a fantastic vehicle and since I was in college, I always wanted to own an LC/LX.

Here are a few shots of it. If any of you are interested in Home Theater, please feel free to PM me as I have been a Senior Moderator at a Home Theater Website for several years, worked for Best Buy in their Elite Reviewer Program, and have had a few Reviews published.
Well I tried to upload some pix, but they all exceed the limit. I need to downrez them, but do not know the best way to do so from my iPhone 5. My User Name is the same on IH8MUD and there are a few shots there if interested.
All the best,
Jack

Jungle Jack, did you ever get the Error3 message fixed by getting the CD's to eject?

I'm not sure I'd expect much of a reply on a post that's more than 4 years old...
