Default Is Drive light supposed to be lit?

Hello. New owner of a 2000 LX470 has a dumb question.

When in drive, is the "D" on the instrument panel supposed to be lit? It is for all the other gears.

When your LX was new - yes the drive light illuminated. Commonly they burn out.

Most owners dont fix them because they are bright and annoying. It's really a benefit yours doesn't work.
