Mystery: Having to jump start on occassion but everything checks out o.k.???
We are really stumped. My '06 LX 470 has an Odyssey PC 1700MJT battery that is about a year old. I have had to jump start the vehicle 3 times in the last month and it also happened a couple of times in the last 6 months. After I jump start the vehicle starts just fine.
I had the battery/starter/alternator checked today and although battery was only ~70% charged, everything else was normal. CCA measured at 810.
Previously, I measure 12.89V charging voltage while odyssey needs a minimum of 13.2
and preferably 13.4V-13.8V. As a result, my battery is not fully charging when I test it. This 12.89V is within Lexus spec for the alternator. I purchased an odyssey approved charger that will provide over 13.4V and I fully charge the battery every few months.
The battery terminals are clean and tight. I am at my wit's end trying to fix this problem. A new battery is only rated at 710CCA so the Odyssey should be firing it right up every time. I have hooked a code reader up and no fault codes are present.
Any suggestions? It's too cold to be jumping vehicles around here.

lx470 battery
If you don't drive it often i have seen that happen. When i don't drive mine for a while, i keep it on a float charger. That maintains the charge rather than naturally draining.
