Hi,
The hood lift support of My 98 LX470 no longer does its job. When I lift it up, it will slowly drop by itself. I find a part from amazon, StrongArm 4361 Lexus LX470 Hood Lift Support 1998-04. After the installation, it won't come down. So, essentially, it just stick there and can't allow me to close the hood.
So, do you have a recommendation of which part to use?

I've used this same one from Ebay. Kinda stiff when brand new. You have to pull it down and force it to come down to close it. After a while (maybe few month or so) it will get easier to close.

For people who replace Lexus LX470 hood struts with the StrongArm 4361, the way it works is just pull the hood down instead of lifting a little bit and the hood will come down by itself from the original hood struts.
