Default Lx470 owners i need some feedbacks please!

Hi guys i have always wanted a LX450 or 470 but never got the chance to own one , 5 years ago i had bought a 02 denali this is the best pos you can ever buy lol it's a $60k truck brand new .
Every part inside the truck rattle, dash , center console, seats, door panels lol everything.
The only thing its good for is towing

But now i am in the market for a new truck but it's be an LX470/ Land Cruiser with decent miles.
now my questions is what should i be looking for when i am shopping for these truck?
I am looking into the 01 +

How are the repairs on these trucks? i know it's just like the Land cruiser ( engine and drivetrain).

thanks in advance .

^ Ignition tumbler, exhaust manifold, air suspension, sway bar bushings, air suspension sensors, these are the things that have gone wrong on our lx470. The exhaust manifold and ignition tumbler were the ones that are more common i believe. Sway bar bushings are easy to change and do make quite the difference. As for working on them i am not sure, but places to charge a fortune to work on them, dealerhsip or not. The air suspension is tricky at times but if it goes wrong, its usually cause a sensor is corroded or dirty and is easily repaired (our dealership has replaced 7 sensors on the front and 2 on the back out of goodwill and warranty since 2001, we live in buffalo winters are harsh on the sensors they said). Parts are expensive aswell. Look for rust and that the diff isn't leaking. Clean fluids and belts should be checked as well. To be honest for all the tech it has, its quite reliable. As to owning one, its wonderful. They ride great, are well made and i actually do enjoy driving them. MPG is a crap shoot ive gotten as low as 9 and high as 17. They are rare and not that common which is nice to. In the snow they are beasts (with snow tires) They are smaller on inside then your average suburban and expedition but still spacious, but do expect the same technology as most newer suv's. Power on the 01-02 is decent and enough for passing. 03-05 have the same power but a 5 speed instead of a 4. 06-07 have 275 hp instead of 235 and it is noticible. All in all i would buy one over and over again but keep money on the side for repairs and parts and gas. Added things that you should do are HID's the stock halogens with projectors are awful. We've owned our lx for 10 years so we love it.

My husband and I have owned a 1999 LX before. We had it for 5 years, it was a great truck that was used well by us. It did require a lot of service but normally trucks do.

I would look for rust, bodywork, any signs of abuse (lots of towing, heavy off-loading). Even though it can and will take a lot of it, there is no reason to buy a tired vehicle when other options are available.

Othewise it is "just like a LandCruiser", oh wait, it is a LandCrusier Cygnus re-labled

Repairs are not frequent I think. Lots of guys just like me never had to do any in well over 250k miles.
