I have 130k on my 01 lx470....Never had timing belt or water pump replaced....Would be interested to hear from members that have not replaced timing belt at 90k and their results...I do recommend changing the serpentine belt if cracked............My serpentine belt had 119k and showed signs of wear.......

I just put down a deposit on a 2002 with 82k mi. I noticed that there is a sticker on the motor which states the timing belt has been changed at about 72k mi. It should be good for another 90k, then correct. Also when I tried adjusting the ride height the light moved into the high or low position but just flashed. I don't know if I was doing something wrong or if it is not working properly, but any help would be appreciated. I feel like I'm getting a good deal on the truck as it seems very clean, and runs nice. I'm just wondering what I should be specifically looking for as I'm hoping to get at least another 100k out of it. From what I've read I should be able to surpass that even. Thank You all in advance.

I did replace the belt at appx 96k. Did the water pump as well, as incrementally it was only $180 or so for the pump. My understanding is that you should not need to replace it, but since it is easily accessible during the belt replacement this is the "why not" case and some extra money for the dealer.
