Ran the Carfax and the 66K miles on the odometer is accurate but Carfax did not show any maintenance/repair records. Seller claimed the dealer did some front suspension work under warranty. As fas as regular maintenance work, truck was taken to a "shop" nearby. He said he only uses Mobil1 and has not done anything to the transmission. Should the fluid get changed? Any other work that needs to be done at 66K miles?
Current owner bought it in 2000 with about 43K miles. So the last 11 years, it was only driven 23K miles -- it sat in the garage most of the time. Eveything works in the truck, interior in great shape, couple of paint scratches, running boards shows just a litlle bit of rust, and is definitey very slow in gettin up to speed -- I believe that's everybodys complaint.
The only sad part is that it does not have the lockers . I dont need it but for resale purposes it would be great. That's probably why he has not sold this truck right away.
Should I be concerned about the fact the this truck did not get driven a lot for the last 11 years? Seals and leaking issues ???
By the way he is sticking to his $10K selling price.

My memory of the truck is vague now, that's why I did not feel I could add any value. I remember it to be sturdier and rougher, kind of heavy duty. Nothing ever went wrong with it. Remember repacking the wheel hubs with fresh grease, oil changes and vacuum cleaning. Man, that was well over 15 years ago But these trucks probably will outlive me.

I have a '96 LX450 with 314k miles. It is an amazing vehicle. I am in the woods working in it every day. It will not break. I have done nothing to it but very minor things. I just had starter rebuilt after 296k miles. Nothing to the tranny at all. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

i just bought mine lx '97 152k miles last two months and i am loving it so far. the only thing that i dont like is the gas mileage but i already knew and i didnt buy my lx to save gas..lol. IMO $10k for that miles is a steal, so go for it!
