Problem with front suspension
I have a 2001 Lx470. the problem I have been experiencing is after driving approx 1-2 miles the front end will settle to the low position. No lites on dash or anything. It will stay this way until the car is shut off and restarted. Then it will raise to the normal setting then do the same thing. I just added new ahc fluid from toyota dealer. Any thoughts

I have a 2003 LX470. Few months back car was doing the same thing you described. My car was doing same at start up and on a red light stop. I took the car to the dealer. Dealer replaced front two hight sensors. Car is working fine after the fix. I would take it to the dealer to get it diagnose.
Please keep us informed.

Its the sensor, it just happened to us and the dealer fixed for free. Salt and the elements corrode the sensor causing it to malfunction and not allow the car to raise. I see you are in Illinois so i am positive this is the issue. Depending on if you have brought your car to the dealer for service and how long you've had it, they may fix it good will. If not look to spend around 600-800. I thought there was a warrantee on the sensor since it is a manufacturer default, but after reading some posts where people have had to pay for it i guess they aren't

I had the same problem twice. (Except my truck would get stuck in the high position.) It was the height sensor both times. It was replaced once under manufacturer warranty and the 2nd time under a third party warranty. Supposedly the newer ones have better protection from road salt and other elements that corrode it.

Replaced the 2 front height sensors, fixed my problem immediately. Thank you for the quick insight and suggestions. Going to do the rear just so they all are new at the same time.
thanks again for the help.
