Third brake light removal

Third brake light removal
My search turned up nothing about removing the 3rd brake light so I can "waterproof" it. Any tips on removing the light or is this a dealer must-do.

Its easy, Remove Two rubber plugs inside tail gate ,then use socket wrench, You can also just use clear silicone on the out side,I used a razor blade as a putty knife for a
clean finish, Don't be scared its real simple believe me I am a mechanical dummy.
