New Mods on a 2000 LX470
I'm wanting to mod my 2000 LX470. Thus far nothing has been done to it. I have the smokey topaz color that has faded and I'm having it painted. It looks like a I might paint it all black - the same color of pearl black Chrysler is using with the new Challenger. It is a deep black - very nice. Has anyone custom painted the entire vehicle?
The other thing I'm considering is updating the grill to the 07' grill. I see some have done this with the 06', is the 07' the same grill? Any one have pics on the particulars? Are the other options besides the dealer to get gril and parts? Other parts needed?
I'm thinking of adding the full chrome handles from JZS INTERNATIONAL. Anyone have experience with the full chrome handles? Are the other options besides JZS?
Lastly, I have the stock wheels and would like to trade to some larger chrome wheels without loosing the comfortably ride. Any ideas?
Other suggestions welcome....

To update the grill, you need to change several other parts. Not impossible and has been done before but not cheap either. Chrome handles were available OEM outside of the US.

Ditto on the grill. For the 2000 model year, you'll have to upgrade many other parts. I would go ahead and buy some chrome handles from any vendor on eBay. I have put them on all my vehicles and can vouch, they are awesome and really change the look of the car. As for wheels, I'd go up to 18" at most if you want to keep the comfy ride. Going to 20" would look really good, but you'll have to sacrifice the ride a lot. Just my two cents!
