I have a 2001 with 86K. Drove about 35 miles on the highway this evening and excited to go about 35 mph on a side road...started feeling a slip or "jerk" of sorts. Put it in neutral to coast and come to a stop at a red light. Put it back in Drive to go and the engine stalls - check engine light and the A/T Trans light went on. Did this 4-5 times as I tried to get it out of the intersection. Had to have it towed - waiting to hear what the repair shop tells me Monday. Anyone had this problem??

when was the last time the throttle body was cleaned? I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's your problem, not the transmission.

its a common symptom, pretty much anytime I diagnosis the problem that usually is what it is. Not saying I know everything, but that was my problem I had along with many others. Dealers dont check it often enough, or ever sometimes.
