Default Parking Light Housing Removal

I was on the freeway yesterday and the right front parking light housing just simply came out of my 99 LX470 and dangled bythe wires - banging into the side panel in the process. I can't determine how to reinsert it - there's no obvious (to me) way to attach it. Any comments by someone familiar with this would be appreciated.

it should have a tension clip on the bottom of it below the bulb socket. On the top there should be a tab where a screw goes in.

I appreciate the input, but I don't really see what you're talking about with respect to either a tension clip or screw hole. Please see the picture.

My truck isnt with me since I drove up to the mountains today with my friends truck but the top looks like below. The left one the screw tab is broken, the right one is how its supposed to be. I'll try to find a picture of the other tab on the bottom later.

Default Same problem

Mine is exactly like the one on the left - no screw tab at all. What's was confusng was that the plastic doesn't look like there was ever a tab there as the edge doesn't look fractured. At any rate, this would seem to be a common problem given that you've clearly seen this problem before. The bottom line is that I need to buy an entire new housing. Thanks for your help.

Mine broke off when I moved, it was in a box, unprotected. Its fragile I guess if you pressure it the wrong way. Maybe you could just make a little aluminum bracket to screw into the housing and then into the truck and save from having to buy a new one.

you could just buy some clear corners on ebay for $30 and make it look like a whole new truck! something similar happened to my clip, except that it was me that broke it and not the freeway haha. i couldnt find oem ones for a decent price so i found some crystal clear ones on ebay and they make my truck look 5 years newer its incredible. just make sure you get the crystal clear ones and not the diamond ones (they look foggy or reflective and remind me of mexican ricer cars)
