I am an LX 470 fan, ever since buying my 1st '99 LX 470 ~ 6 yrs ago. I bought it from a local lot w/high miles and still think I paid too much...I was amazed by the ride and the resale value, so ~2yrs ago I sold it to a friend for ~$20k w>100k mi.(for his son's grad.present) and put a couple of thousand w/the sales price and upgraded to an '01 LX 470...I drove that car until last month when my business partner told me he wanted to sell his 1 owner, low mi(<50k)'02 LX 470 for loan value(if I would take it ASAP). I called my friend who loved the '99 so much, he agreed to buy the '01 for ~$20k w>100k.mi.(still a good deal)...so now I am on LX 470 #3, and what I can't get over is how much better they ride/drive than anything else on the market & that you can basically buy a 4-5yr old LX 470, drive it for 2-3 yrs, and get ~75-85% of your money back...depreciating as little as ~$150/mo...they just don't depreciate much once they get to the $20-$25k mark...I plan to keep this 1 at least 3 years and probably buy an '05 or '06...unless of course gas is $5/gal and then I might have to reconsider the 13-14mpg-the only downide of owning these fine SUVs

Congradulations on your third LX470. I have loved these suv's since they came out back in 1998. In the next two years we plan on buying a 06/07 LX in silver.
