Lexus LX470 driver door actuator

Lexus LX470 driver door actuator
I recently purchased a 2000 lexus LX 470
A few dings here and there otherwise is working great, Upsettingly the previous owner lost the master control key "all the unlock buttons"
And I am using a spare key to open/start the car.
We have always had trouble with the central locking, Today i took apart the door lock mechanism "removed the actuator" and it seems to be working when i put power through it, Until i plug it back up to the door it stops working "no movement"
Could it be a wiring problem or would i need to replace the whole mechanism??
I checked the actuator and everything spins and works fine.
Could have been tampered with earlier as the plastic sleeve and certain parts were loose upon opening the door skin.
Any help will be great.
