Power Steering Help Please
Hey,
Would anyone have a diagram of the LX470 power steering, I think I lost a hose, and the car becomes very hard to turn at slow speeds.
Thanks

If you lost a hose, there should be fluid spewing all over the place. How's the PS fluid level in the resevoir? My rig has the VGRS, so it's a different system. Post on mud. Someone will have the FSM for your year.

This is the first case I've heard of a Toyota PS pump going bad.
Why would the PS pump go bad? When was the last time you flushed the fluid?

It has 107,000 miles and has always been serviced at Lexus at every 5000 miles, don't ask what I was doing when it broke but it happened in dirt/mud,
it was in park, then i got back in the car and the truck had no power steering, so yeah

I've had problems with mine in the past...but that's on my LX 450..and I work it VERY HARD at times. Under normal conditions, as long as there's either good power steering fluid or ATF fluid in there, it should be good for a very long time.

I flushed and filled my 95 LC PS with new fluid and it started leaking and had to be replaced. Never use any cleaner in your PS system.
