Just wanted to stop in and rep my 97 LX450. Just got a full chrome 3" bull bar installed myself, put in some clear diamond crystalized taillights, clear front turn signals, wood/leather steering wheel, tail light guards, and a front bug deflector. I'll try to put up some pix. Does anyone know if the new 18" 6 lug GX470 wheels will fit on a 96-97 LX? The dimensions are the same, offset, etc... but the old 17" I heard have caliper rubbing. Anyone know about the new 18" ones? Thanks guys. I still think the LX is the best SUV out there.

John

99 LX470 - black/gray two tone. Pretty much stock everything at this point although i'd like to put some of the new 18's on it.

I know, this sec is dead

Well no one mod these cars anyways.

2005 Beige/Pearl (Sanddollar is it called?) LX470 w/ tan interior. Stock everything, but added 2 DVD players in the headrest afterwards by Lexus. Should have just gone with an independent shop for the price Lexus charged

As you can see below on my signature page, I still don't know what to do with SC and MR2 yet, I am not going to do any mods on LX470, BTW, it is Black/Ivory, It has all available options. From Rowland Heights, California

running boards or roof rack? I personally think the LX looks really funky without the roof rack side rails.

I think the 450 looks better without the roofrack and boards. This is mine the way it is right now. See how the body line is more balanced with the bumpers. The stock ones look "center heavy". My main reason was to clean up the lines. I also welded shut all holes and openings to make it smooth. I havent seen the 470 much without them, but can understand what you mean. You get so used to seeing a truck a certain way it makes a snapshot in your mind.

It does look clean in fact naked. Your right, when your use to seeing it a certain way it takes a minute to appreciate the difference.

Default Fall colors

2001 LX470 on one of my many fall adventures. Usually keep going until the wife-ometer decides that it's too treacherous.
