How much mileage is on your LX470 right now?

Lexus Champion
Just bought my 2005 LX470 with 103k on the clock. 1 owner truck with full service history. Needs some tlc on interior and exterior...but no accidents. It's headed to the shop now for all new tires, rotors, pads, grease/repack front wheel bearings, water pump, timing belt, thermostat, serpentine belt, spark plugs and fuel filter. I've done the oil change and air filter and when it comes back i'll be draining and refilling the differentials and transmission. Then this beast should be ready for another 100k miles if smooth driving.

Have them do the plastic T's on the heater hoses on the top back of the engine. Do a search on T replacement if you don't know what I mean. Also make sure the AHC service is up to date. Enjoy!! Your new ride and welcome to Mud. I'd also suggest a new gas cap if it's the original.
2001 LX with 120,000 miles. Had a torn boot and leaky CV replaced at 85,000, Timing belt, water pump and radiator at 110,000, Old Timing belt looked fine BTW. Rebuilt the subwoofer with a new surround ($20). Upgraded the Nav with a Gen4 unit from a Prius. Had the ML amp rebuilt by United Radio when it started to overheat (they are great BTW). Aside from that just the regular maintenance which I do myself. Get my parts from Sewell except oil and filter (Mobile 1 synthetic, K&N filter). Radiator replaced when it started to leak at the join between top plastic and core. Water pump was fine but was in the Sewell premium kit and why not since I was there anyway for the timing belt. Sewell premium kit really is premium, everything included, even the mysterious -001 black sealer for the pump install. I also switched from the red to the pink antifreeze, no issues I can detect with that. Runs like new.

There is 179k on my 2001 LX470. Nothing major repaired just normal maintenance, but the clear coat has been shot for some time, fading the paint underneath. She spent the first 6 years of her life in Chicago and the next 2 years in Nebraska. Rough winters. The last 5 years have been in the Washington State.

I agree - I had a crack in one of my T's about 2 years ago and replaced both. I did my own T's using 1/2 copper pipe. Easy fix and no problems (yet!).

Parts from Sewell Lexus
Sewell Lexus offers a discount to Club Lexus members and have packaged the parts needed for various service work. These are usually 'good better best' where good is the minimum needed, better includes common additional parts and best - premium - is everything needed to do what a good mechanic would do if given that job. The premium timing kit contains all of the pulleys, bearings, gaskets, and specialty materials. All are of course genuine Lexus parts.
Go to the Sewell site and look around if you are considering any significant DIY work.
