You know JP, that rig would look righteous if you went for the "old school" look. I'll tell you what. Send me your tail lights & wheels and I'll hook you up w/ some old school ones. I'd do that for you, because we're cool like that.

as much as i appreciate the offer, i think i'll have to pass.
there is no auto salesman on the planet that had to work harder for a sale than i did on this one. my wife just didn't seem to understand how a 70K vehicle was a good idea... i had to explain to her that it was one part functionality of a minivan (a damn nice minivan) which would be worth a good 40-50K for a lux minivan appointed like the LX; and one part real deal off road 4WD fun car for fishing and camping and what not which would be worth another 30K just for that function. by my math, getting it for just over 60K turned out to be a damned good deal. after all of that work, i think i'll just keep it for the next 10+ years and be content. maybe i'll just hold on to it so my new son can have a kick *** first car.
like i said though, thanks for the offers.

JP, you gotta get out more! Your neighbor lives really close (Hah, I should talk, I used to live in RPV). Hey, if you're interested, I'll swap you my factory chromed OEM wheels for your stock wheels. BTW, this pick is descending Ohio Pass from Crested Butte, CO.

on the whole close neighbor topic... uh, yeah. welcome to the south bay. we're all on top of each other. when my colicy new son cries for hours on end, i really feel for the neighbors. the ocean view was great when we were just married, now we're ready to head to OC into never ending suburbia. for a 6000+ sq ft lot, i'm wiling to go inland a few miles.
as for the chrome offer, thanks, but no thanks. had to make sure this one had the chrome removed before delivery. i didn't want the lex, i'm more of a TLC guy for sure, but the deal i got on this was so close to what i could've gotten a LC for made it a no brainer when warranty is taken into consideration. need to get some new bumpers on it to take some of the bling out of it. guys at MV lex seemed cool with the bumpers and slee sliders not messing up the warranty. that made me pretty happy.

Since I bought mine CPO, I didn't have a choice about the wheels. I'd prefer none-chromed, too. Now, I have to get the spare chromed to run a 5-tire rotation! When I bought, I was considering a '04 LX at MV Lex, but the internet salesman wouldn't answer any of my questions or post any additional pics than the one photo on autotrader. He just wanted to know how much I'd be willing to pay, how I'd pay.

that was the impression i got from most of the internet types i talked to with toyota and mercedes. i appreciated the fact they were offering discounted prices, but they seemed to think that since their price was low that they didn't need to do do much of anything else.
