Wasn't a big issue to get fixed, and i think my manifolds have a leak like i've been reading on ih8mud.
Thank god for having a toyota wholesale friend

It's my understanding that the LX 470's from '98-'01 are worth between $15k and $25k depending on mileage and condition. EBAY is a great place to look at several for sale, and you can look at previous sales and get a pretty good idea of high wholesale/low retail. I recently sold my '99 and bought an '01 w/similar miles and there was very little difference in the $$ and honestly no difference in the vehicles. I sort of miss my '99 (b/c I liked the color better), but THEY ARE THE KING OF SUVs and I can't wait 'til I can afford an '03.

I bought a 1999 LX on ebay for $17,200 with 104,000 miles and it had every option on it. I had an inspection done on it at the Lexus dealership in Naperville, IL for $110 and they said that it was in excellent shape for the year. The only thing they recommended was to change the timing belt and the cabin filter. When I got it home and had my local mechanic check it out, he said the exact same thing. I think you can find a great deal on ebay, especially if your close to where it's located, but having the dealer check it out was an added piece of mind.

I paid $23k 6 months ago for a 2005 LX470 Nevada vehicle, no rust 107k miles and all the local Lexus dealer service records that document by the book local service by the Lexus dealership since new. It had new michlen tires. In older Lexus LX470 I think it is important to have a rust free vehicle or minor surface rust on the frame but no where else and all the service records. If these vehicles are from non rust belt states and well maintained and pass a physical inspection that rules out abuse they can last a very very long time if you continue to follow proper service and stay on top of the needed repairs. Many owners with over 200k trouble free miles. Good luck with your search.

I just bought a 2003 LX 470 with 86K miles. We live in the Republic of Panama. Toyota's are everywhere here. Not so many Lexus vehicles. It's funny, the Toyota LC holds value better than the Lexus LX.. Go figure.
