06 LX470 pics
I usually go to Toyota.jp and look at what is coming our way. This might be the last visual update our beloved LX470 will get. Enjoy!
New tail lights, green tinted headlights and new wheels are the obvious. No HID still??

I really like the stone leather interior

The brother Land Cruiser 100 also gets its fair share of updates as well.
I wonder how the Alcantara farbic is like.

That was the story when the GX came out in 03 and that is the line they are telling people still.
I think the additional 6 to 10 inches of additional headlight height will only glare a bit more in the last 20-30ft as you appoach an on coming vehicle, especially when you drive a low car.
I think Lexus might be on to something if they refuse to use HIDs on SUVs. Do they know something that other manufacturers dosen't? Could be that the optics of the HID projector lamps hasn't been perfected yet?
I had a loaner 04 RX330 when I took my GX for service. The RX beam pattern was really good and the self leveling headlights were a neat feature to counter glairing. From what I remember the RX headlights were about as high as the GX. Anyway, this is what aftermarket HIDs are for.

Thank Buddy for the info !!!
Thanks CivicFerio for the heads up.
I was trying to decide if I wanted the LX now, or to wait for an 06.
Guess you helped me decide I am getting an LX460 2006.
P.S. A dealership confirmed that for 2006 a new front end and different tail lights were coming.
He also confirmed that the 06 LX470 will have the same higher HP engine the GX and 4Runner have.
... He also said they may have the new 06 by late June early July, but he said .."I can't be 100% on the time frame for the 06's".

It is reasonable to assume the LC will also get the VVT-i V8, right?

Love the refresh... does give the vehicle a nice touch of modern look.
Bad news is, refresh = another two or more years before a true redesign.
Where's JX470 anyway?
