LX470 headlight adjustment
Is there a way to adjust the height of the light? My lights seem to be pointing too low, and its even more noticable now that I put HIDs in the car. TIA

Hi everyone:
I've looked through the posts, but cannot get a clear understanding of how to adjust the headlamps on my 2004 LX470.
Please look at the pictures attacted. How do I aim the low beams up and down and left and right?
Thanks!

Hi, did you every figure out how to adjust and which screw to rotate ? thanks !

If you look @ the last pic. Right up under the headlight cover you'll see that white screw covering. You can use a small flat head screwdriver to turn it. Be careful because it can easily break. That'll move the light up & down. For left to right, remove the side marker lights & @ the very top of the headlight it's an 8mm screw. It'll have a black cover on it, it pops off.

I have a 2005 LX 470 and have been trying to find a DIY video on how to replace the H1 bulbs in the headlights. I have gotten as far as removing the back cover, but then am confronted with a complex looking metal cover inside the plastic cover. Can anyone help???

I'll assume you are going to put an H1 bulb back in ad you're not doing a conversion.
You will see 2 electrical wires that plug into the old light bulb. Note the color and the side the wire is on.
You will see a thin metal wire with a loop on the end of it. There is a barb on the housing that this wire latches to and that holds the bulb in position. You push that loop toward the front of the car and then either down or up, (I don't remember which), so it clears that barb and the wire will swing back on its hinge. Hold the bulb so it doesn't fall.
When you remove the bulb, note whether the little tang is up or down. It only correctly fits in the housing one way. You can see this tang on the new bulb. Insert the new bulb into the housing with the tang correctly oriented and hold the bulb with one hand and swing the metal wire so it contacts the new bulb. Using the loop you will push past the barb and latch it on the barb.
Reconnect the electrical wires the same way they came off.
NOTE: DO NOT tough the glass part of the bulb. If you do touch it you need to clean it with alcohol to get your finger oils off the glass. The oil causes the bulb to burn hot and fail prematurely

Very helpful, thanks!
i also had to remove the better to access the driver side housing, and it was a tight fit. Now looking to replace the fog light (H3) bulbs. is this simply a plug and go scenario?
