tape player spitting out tapes
Hey guys and gals has anyone had a problem with their tape players, when you put a tape in it changes sides then eject the tape. I bought my 2000 lx470 about 4 months ago and never used the tape player until I tried to install my XM radio's cassette adapter and found out that it would play for a 3 to 4 seconds and then spit the tape out. Then I tried a regular cassette and low and behold it did the same thing. Just trying to get some info before I take it to the dealer and get punished!!!!!!

mines had coins in it. I bought my LX used from a guy and didn't check it until I tried to hook up XM radio, and noticed that the tape adapter wouldn't stay in. I think the past owners had little kids and that looked like a good place to put some money. There could be a foreign object in there who knows.
