...and in "talking drivetrain and engine", you end up creating your own reality of a 3-ton truck powered by a V-6 with turbocharging. As you put it, "we ALL know that".

I'm assuming you don't have a Raptor. If you do and you're on the Raptor forums, few real owners are ecstatic...understatement of the day

T4Fun, do you own a 200 series?

The V-6 with twin turbos might be fun in your GX. Having driven an LX for 8 years and a Land Cruiser for 1.5, I don't see them with turbocharging.

I have a 2017 LX and a 2013 Ford Raptor with factory Roush Super Charger, 590 hp 590 lb-ft torque and there is obviously no comparison. I have other cars, one being a Porsche 1997 Turbo, should I campare this to a LX too?

Having said that, I love jumping into the Raptor after driving the LX, it's great to experance two totally different rides...

Thanks for letting some of us realize that the Raptor and LX are "two totally different rides".

Case in point, however, is that while this drivetrain looks great on paper Ford continues to use naturally aspirated V8 gas engines in their Super Duty lineup. It appears that once you step up the game and stop thinking about just chasing the numbers Ecoboost no longer cuts it?

I honestly don't think a "all new" LX would come out till 2020 or even later....I mean Lexus did put some significant refreshes into the 2016, they'd want to recoup the engineering and R&D costs for a few years, especially for such a low volume vehicle, before retooling it again completely.

I'd be the first to say a complete redesign is warranted (the 5.7L is fine, even with the 8spd, but competitors are quickly overtaking that) however assuming a 4 or 5 year model run would put us at 2021 before a "all-new" variant comes out. Just my 2 cents.

BTW, your LX is leaning to the left a little; I'd say about 1/2" to 1".

Not at all uncommon after a while...cause may be simply because there's always someone in the left seat.

Front height sensor can be adjusted for a bit of touch-up. It could be that the left side is low v. spec, but it's also possible that the right side is higher than spec.

How to check...

I checked last night, measured all four corners and the center, all is of equal measurements....I think it's the angle of the picture I took.
