Is (was) it impractical for a single guy to buy a '17 LX570?

As an executive (CEO) with a 2010 LX with 150,000 miles, my staff pushed me to buy a Mercedes S550. (They wanted me to be more presentable when going to meetings and taking out clients). While the Benz is beautiful and great, I'm glad I did not sell my LX. Slowly, slowly, I find myself driving the LX more and more and give my staff some sort of excuse s to why. It's truly that nice of a car. If you like large and very luxurious SUV's you won't be disappointed.

If you have the means, then it's a nothingburger. Buy what suits YOU. I don't buy my stuff in regards to what my friends or neighbors think. Nobody's business what or why you bought what you have bought.. They can go mind their own p's and q's and spend their $$ on what they think is proper.
Truly it's only as impractical as
a. it applies to your lifestyle
b. your means
Go enjoy it. Some people are driven by practicality...some by passion...some by both. Where that balance is depends on the individual and their means. Personally, the last thing I want is some flipping tuna can with wheels..I'm tired of the rest of the world talking down and dictating to us what "we should be doing and what we should be driving". Pfft. You only go around once. Enjoy the means to ownership, and share the blessings you have, when you can. Other than that, if you're happy, that's STERLING.
Oh and btw, the LX570 IS a pretty flexible, versatile vehicle. IMO. For me, I don't want a unibody SUV, period. Give me a full-frame Truck-style SUV. Again, NICE purchase.
