Buzzing Hissing Noise?
My neighbor has a 2013 and when the weather turns colder he gets a buzzing / hissing type of electrical noise (if this makes sense) that is coming from behind the Nav / Infotainment screen. It usually only happens after the initial morning start-up. He hasn't had the noise since last spring, but now that the last couple of mornings the weather has been colder (low 40's overnight) when he starts it up in the morning the noise is back.
I heard it this morning and it's not the blower / fan motor because I had him turn off the HVAC system, but the noise was still there. Drove for about 10 mins and the noise goes away when it warms up.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this or something similar.

I just experienced, what seems to be a very similar thing. The "white noise" like sound seemed to be coming right from the front center part of the dash. I found the source to be the ventilated seats, when I turned them to off, the sound went away immediately. This was a 2009 model and I was doing a test drive...

The noise only occurs when the temp outside drops, so basically once the temps drop into the low 40's (or lower) the noise re-appears. For example, the last two days the temps were back in the 60's and the noise wasn't there.
Again thanks for the suggestion...

try turning the Heating/Cooling system to full OFF and see if this persists. Maybe it is in the AUTO mode to condition the interior space, and stops after the cabin is warm. Experiment with turning various systems off until you can isolate this.
