shopping for pre-owned lx570 couple questions

2012 was the first true "hourglass" outline at the grille and now retrospectively you can see Lexus easing in to the more aggressive spindle design. I like 2012 and beyond because the tail lights changed (very slightly) and LED outline of headlights (Audi style) shows up, plus the turn signal on the side mirrors. Subtle differences but IMO make a nice difference compared to my '10...but ours just got paid off so no plans to upgrade anytime soon.

But yours most likely is officially a 2013 model on the title even though with a production date most likely the last quarter of 2012. I think due to the tsunami and the subsequent nuclear power plant fiasco the supply chain in Japan for the LC and LX were put on hold plus this gave LEXUS HQ some time to redesign the front end of the LX for the 2013 LX. I looked hard for a new LX to replace my aging 2000 LX470 with over 280k miles back in 2012 and there were none to be had at any price nearby in SoCal and was told had to wait for the 2013 model.
