Morning All,

My Father in Law recently just picked up a 2013 CPO LX 570. During the delivery, we noticed that even when the tank was filled to the brim the miles to empty was showing around 225ish. We inquired about it, and the local dealership filled up another LX and got the same reading basically. Just wanted to touch base with the group and get a feel to see if anyone else is getting this same reading? Also, what type of mileage and range is everyone seeing? Sorry if this question has been asked before, thanks for reading all.

Just pulled my iPhone out and opened the Lexus Inform app, as I just filled up, it says 289 miles to empty.

when you get to 0 range, you still will be able to go extra 50 miles

Two things: the range estimate is based on the average fuel economy for your last tank, I believe. So, to the extent the truck was driven in the city and traffic, the number will come down. Beyond this, the LX's tank is tiny for a truck its size (major pet peeve of mine).

On past LX units I can get about 20 gallons of fuel in the tank which mean there is still 4 gallons left. I know I have gone a good 40-50 miles on empty and not run out but . . . . .

I commute 150 miles a day in mine, I get an estimated range 340-350 miles a tank. Always fill up 17-19 gallons

No doubt the miles to empty is figured on the current miles per gallon number.
