I just purchased a 2009 LX570, excellent shape. but did not come with a remote control for the rear entertainment system. how can I get this running without the remote? is it still possible?

Also after pairing my phone can I play audio using Bluetooth?

first of all congrats on your lx purchase, great vehicle.
for your first question, no you cannot use the rear entertainment system without remote. max you can do is lower screen and thats about it. you can find used one on ebay for around 150 i guess, mine didnt had one but i had dealer buy one for me so he ordered and it cost him 500 to order from lexus genuine. you would also need headsets and those i bought from ebay one for around 35 and other for about 50 i believe.
i dont think 2009 dvd system has ability for bluetooth streaming it was included from either 2010 or 2011, to me it wasnt a huge let down i bought aux cable and its serving purpose.

Edit: i checked my ebay so i paid $30 for one and $35 for the other set batteries included
