I have a feeling this is what they are releasing and not a 'refreshed" version which looks nearly the same.
this is the facelift...... a major one......

go check, just like the 2013 ls460. it's the same chassis, same code. new body panels all around. the front bumper, hood, fenders, rear trunk, bumpers, all new. interior all changed. but it's the same car, just heavily face lifted. took a long while for people to understand too.

and same with this lx. it's the same chassis.

i am still confused, but it doesnt matter. I think the new lx looks nice, but agree, if the frame is the same, its not a redesign. I dont like the new wheels. The current lx wheels are nice.
Ive always wanted an LX, but will wait til 2019 for redesign

I don't agree with you. The frame can change and everything stay the same and it is still not a redesign.

Default 2016 Lexus LX 570

So here it is:
http://www.autoblog.com/2015/08/13/2...-570-official/

Unfortunately, I cannot buy this. The front bumper is terrible - I am sure that the front departure angle is significantly lower comparing to 2015 model. Low profile tires is also another big nonsense.
I don't understand it. This is not a city car. Body íon frame, solid rear axle - it's designed for offroading and Toyota cripples it like this.
O.K., I will wait for Land Cruiser and I hope it will have the same features. Normaly, I prefer Lexus because of Mark Levinson but this time I will have to be happy with JBL audio :-(

Actually, according to Lexus documentation, the departure angle is the same as the 2015 model, as is the clearance.

Yes, you are right. I just noticed it today. I would not expect it. It seems different on the photos. Good news. So I still have a choice - LX570 or Land Cruiser. I will try to compare them side by side. I suppose that it will not be difficult to buy LX570 with Land Cruiser wheels. There will be many Land Cruiser owners who would like to have 20" or 21" wheels on it.

I think it looks perfect. Should of looked like this from get go.
Whats lexus problem with the mouse? That may be deal breaker for me. Love the touchscreen in the GX and
dont like having to manuever mouse while driving.

If they are going to do a complete redesign in 2019, i would rather wait. Seems like vehicles getting out of date much quicker nowadays.

Don't get the 20" wheels. That alone is a major drawback for me. I take my '11 LX off the paved roads frequently and appreciate the extra tire between the gravel road and the wheel.

apparently the 20 inch is standard, and there is a optional 21 inch version!

i hope the ride is improved. THe current lx is little spongy around the curves
