Default Ever have your drivetrain serviced?

Re-torque and lubed? I know it's on the maintance recommendations by Lexus. Just wondering if any of you know if the dealer did the work? Another question would be did you have any drivetrain problems (year vehicle and mileage). I think this is one of the items service just give a wink and nod to and helps justify the high "service" costs, since 95% of the items say "check" which I can do my self.

The design of the Toyota rear end is susceptible to clunking noises if the driveshaft isn't properly maintained. It's not uncommon on the 100 series LX model as well as the GX's, 4Runners and Tacomas. Keeping the grease fresh in the U joints and slip yoke will keep those joints healthy and reduce the likelihood of any movements without sufficient lubrication.

There isn't really a visible indicator of checking bolt torque, but you should be able to crawl under the back of the vehicle, and observe fresh grease around the nipple on the U joints (unless the tech is super **** about wiping away all the excess). You might also see some excess grease around the seams of the joints themselves.
