FYI.....crawl mode
Read the owners manual and didn't recall this bit of info on crawl mode...It sounds as if your transmission/driveline is about to ruin itself. Sounds exactly as if the fan is hitting the shroud periodically. After years of ownership and 35k miles I decided to try the crawl mode....for about 20 secs. After a quick call to my service manager he assured me "that's the way it sounds." Hope this helps!!

No doubt it is not as quiet. I have used it several times and it makes additional noise but it works very well.

I happen to see a youtube video on the crawl mode for the differences between the three mode and the five mode systems. The video was taken from the outside and I did not hear any crazy noises.
I pulled my 570 into a gravel parking lot today to try the crawl mode for the first time. Holy Crap! It sounded like the brake system and the drive train went to battle. My 570 is a 2011 with 75k miles, so I am not sure if what I heard was normal or not. It is going in for the 75k service early next week and I will have them check the crawl mode for aliens.

Sounds like not many people like to actually travel off-road.

Thanks for the response Steve. I will have the dealership check the crawl system out to be safe. I have a hard time believing such a well engineered product has to be sound this way. I will try to test drive a new 570 new week to test it's crawl mode. If I do the test drive, i will post up my findings.
BTW...This 570 is my work vehicle and only sees snow/ice occasionally. I have a Jeep Rubicon and a Polaris Sportsman to go off-roading with. If I still have the 570 in ten years, I might put some more aggressive tires on it. But, for now, she is just going to be a sweet street machine.
