Default 2017 New Owner!

I've been thinking about buying a LX for over five years but today I decided to pull the plug (and I usually get good deals during December to Remember, which ends tomorrow). So I bought a '17 Atomic Silver/Parchment with HUD, rear seat DVD, luxury package, etc. I should mention that parchment interiors are very rare in this region -- the typical allocation is for black interiors. For me, a light interior is a must in a Lexus. The LX looks stunning and drives like a dream! The first road trip is coming up in about 2 weeks!

Congratulations! Now that winter is here and the roads are filthy, I wish I had a silver car, not the black one I've got

Congrats! I got the exact LX as you in November. Love the wood and the interior.... going on a long trip in a few weeks as well.

Enjoy.

Thanks!

In fact, I read your posts beforehand. The cabernet/expresso combination seems to be pretty hot around here but (like you) it didn't work for me.

My only problem with the lite colored interior is that it picked up the blue dye in my jeans.

Nice vehicle, enjoy!

That's an excellent point. My '16 ES also had parchment and the blue jean dye issue was a problem. I've thought about banning jeans in the LX! In fact, I briefly thought about a darker interior to avoid this issue but I just couldn't -- a light interior is a must for me.

If it is what you love it does not matter.

I found that always letting the leather dressing dry overnight did wonders and almost eliminated the staining.

Hope you enjoy!

Congratulations! Welcome to the club. Let us know how the trip goes in the brand new LX. Will you have kids in the back? Let me know how the screens work out.

Congrats on the car. You will love it. I just bought a 2017 model 5 days ago. There's nothing like it on the road.

Great looking LX! Congratulations. Atomic silver is a stunning color. We are in the process of having our dealer locate a new LX for us from another region. Looking for one in nightfall mica blue with cabernet interior. Apparently its a popular build for the Northeast. Hope to join the LX club soon!

You can also do your own informal search on Autotrader. Using "blue" as the exterior color, I found several (but I didn't check on the interior color).

Just wondering... do all LX models come with a black dashboard top, regardless of the rest of the interior color? Or is there an interior color available (other than black) where the dash matches the rest of the interior?

I am pretty sure they are all black. Have seen some custom interiors different colors but not from Lexus USA.
