Default autoclose doors question

Hello. Does you LX close the doors automatically when you start moving? the dealer said, that LX doesn't have this option. but my mom's RX 2009 can do it.
Is it the car or a not knowing dealer, that can't turn it on?

Here in the Philippines, the 2013 LX models does not have this option (I,e, auto lock when driving/shift from P to D). Our units come from the Middle East so if your unit came from Dubai or UAE for example, you wont have this option also. I know it is annoying to manually lock your door each time you drive out. Reason for removing this option in our units is beyond me

I fail to see why they would disable the door locking feature in any country. They should at least give you the option to use or not.

Can't understand it either. this option is very useful and it must be as on option on a $130000 car

LX570s (almost all variations) have the door auto closure option. Check your OTHER OPTIONS menu.

Believe me, I checked, double checked my owners manual, asked other owners, talked to the authorized Lexus dealer, and arrived with one answer - option was removed in all 2013 units that are offered to the Philippines market. Our units here come from either Dubai or UAE.

I'm still hoping someone tell me that I'm wrong.

Its a programmable feature that the dealer could only access and change. If you go to the dealer and talk to them they should be able to assist you. If the your salesman doesnt know any better, you could try calling one of the Lexus Service Technicians. Hope you figure it all out bro!
