2010CY Navigation Update 2010 LX570
Is the navigation update software (10.1 Gen 6 navi) really for one time use only?
Can it be copied/backed up? just in case? Anyone? Thanks

I thought they did it with DVD/CD to update the hard drive

Typically, with a HDD based system, the USB stick is the "key". And the technicians use the Tech Stream to update it. The map info isn't on the USB stick.

My 2010 LX was updated via the USB stick only. The update took no more than 5-10 minutes. Now, the navigation shows revision 10.1. The file still resided on the stick...

They may have changed the procedure then. It seems like they were that way with the LS460's.
