Does that seatbelt chime bother anyone else? I had a guy take apart the seatbelt lock assembly and he did something with the magnet inside so now the LX thinks drivers and passenger seatbelts are always engaged. No more beep!

why not just use the seat belts?

I normally do, but if I have a backpack or something heavy on the passenger seat I dont want to buckle it up.

Also - sometimes I dont feel like wearing my seatbelt

Is there a software heck to disable the chime?

If not, could you please send me info on how to do it the way you just did to the magnet? Thanks.

The dealer can disable it. I had it done in my LS 460 and I'm going to have it done in my GX the next time I'm at the dealer...

BTW, I always wear my seat belt, but sometimes people don't put their seat belt on fast enough and the buzzer is annoying.

^i know what you mean Craig. When we're approaching home, my parents tend to take off their seatbelts way too early, and theres that annoying beep that just intensifies the longer the belt is off while the car is driving. i want it removed, but then again, it does serve a good purpose.
