I have to say after 20k I am rather pleased with the overall vehicle and when you consider it was the first year out, I am really happy. I have not had any problems that required an early visit to the dealer for repair.

Been very happy with the highway milage and after owning four LX470s, I really like the additional power.

Just as expected.

I've only been on one long trip (Santa Barbara, CA), and the mileage is pretty decent! We had a LX 470 before and sold it recently but I did not drive at the time so I cannot vouch for the performance and MPG. Congrates on getting 20k btw, I've yet to break 8k in a little over a year (Feb 08).

As for enjoying, well drove around and recently installed HID as far as that goes =] No problems except for the gas tank is a little low on capacity compared to large sedans (S-class for example) and other Suvs

Greg, thanks for asking, I love mine, just over 12K. The power and ride are so much improved over my 470. Now that my third row seats don't rattle, I am a happy camper. I love the sound system and the HD, all my favorite tunes and room to spare. It does not matter who I select (Orbison, Pavarotti, Jones, Elvis, Ronstadt, Robbins), it sounds like they are singing from the back seat. I wish there was more leg room in the second row. My wife drives an LS 430 and prefers the seat comfort in my 570.

Lookers - yes, not buyers. Just convincing myself to buy - is a whole different story. Still can't come in terms with the 570, but curiously lurking around.

I got 45K on my 08 LX and still love it
Exept for thr rear drive shaft knocking during take-off, the dealer has no solution for it..

Hi Mike, yep the HD is loaded up on my 570, also. Like all kinds of music just like you, Pavarotti to Led Zeplin and lots of ELP! I seldom have more than 2 in the vehicle and do not think anyone has even been in the back seat except when doing the weekly cleaning. Both short and longer trips are like being in a time machine for me.

I am looking forward to the 2010 RX450 to replace a near 10 year old 24K mile Infinity Q45 this summer. I hope it does not steal me away from the LX570.

Sorry to hear about the knocking. My LX does not even make the vibration/buzzing feeling at start anymore. Seems it slowly stopped doing it.

Well, i would bet that LX570 is selling better than a 2006 LX back in 2006.

Right but the LX570 comes nowhere close to USA sales of the LX470 when introduced in 1998 and then 1999 and 2000. At those times the LX470 was selling at 15k units a year.

There is a guy over at www.IH8mud.com under the 200 series thread that has the rear differential clunk problem with his 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser. Seeing that they are very similar vehicles, I believe he reported that Toyota has a TSB fix for this. Or his Toyota dealer has found a solution.

I guess you could PM him or read the thread. I just can't remember what thread it was or who is was.

I have 2009 model that has a 18K miles on it. and I'm telling you I took it to the city, highway, desert, snow, mountins, mud, I even drove it into a river!

Not a single sound and not a single problem. Highway driving is silk, infact it is so calm that I get sleepy sometime. Off road nothing can match it.
I adore every part of it. I remote start it in the morning from my bed and when I go down its cool and ready for a drive. The cool-box is great, I say it’s a must have. The key is my wallet so I don't need to carry extra stuff around. I also love the rear entertainment especially on long trips. The seats are comfy and large.
I have two other cars but I love this one the most.
