Hello All -

Recently purchase a 03 LX 470 that has factory installed Nav. This is the model year with the climate somewhat integrated into the Nav unit, a single DIN player below, etc.

Question is, are there any currently available options for an aftermarket unit that fits this vehicle and supports CarPlay? Per Crutchfield, it looks like my only option is a single DIN player that replaces the lower unit (and leaves the Nav unit in place), none of which have CarPlay available at the current time (even those with a flip out/up screen). Secondly, I'm not even sure how that would work with the Nav screen in general.

I haven't talked to a local custom installer just yet, which may be my next call. Otherwise, I'll just suck it up and use a AC vent mount coupled with the cassette adapter

This chinese company makes a replacement that runs android, but heater control has been a bit buggy.
http://www.canaviet.com/ The videos on their youtube channel show the install in detail, in Chinese.

One owner in Australia installed it, but also remounted his heater control buttons at the bottom of that dash controls. That worked well.

This is an issue I am investigating, as my family has three of this generation, and the radios are dying, and I own a mobile electronics shop.
